The Rock & Pop Foundation is a specialist provider of contemporary instrumental and vocal music education for children, young people and schools.

Established in 1995, we have more than 30 years' experience delivering engaging music programmes designed to help young people learn an instrument, develop their musicianship, perform with confidence and discover a lasting enjoyment of music.

Our school programmes combine professional music tuition with structured learning resources, digital support, performance opportunities and pathways towards recognised graded music qualifications.

More than 70,000 students have taken part in Rock & Pop Foundation music education programmes since we began.

Contemporary Music Education for Schools

We work in partnership with schools to provide flexible, professionally managed music programmes for children and young people.

Lessons can be delivered individually or in small groups according to the instrument, pupil requirements and school timetable.

We believe there is enormous value in children learning from musicians who understand what it means to practise, rehearse, collaborate and perform.

Tutors working with children are subject to appropriate DBS and safeguarding requirements, and our provision operates alongside the safeguarding arrangements of participating schools.

Music Examinations & Recognised Qualifications

Formal examinations provide students who want them with recognised milestones in their musical development.

The Rock & Pop Foundation operates as a Trinity Rock & Pop Examination Centre in Aldershot — Centre 66105.

Students who are ready can work towards appropriate graded music examinations with support and preparation from their tutor.

Examinations are not compulsory. Our priority is helping young people become confident musicians who enjoy making music, whether or not they choose to follow a formal examination pathway.

Safeguarding & Professional Standards

The safety and wellbeing of children and young people is fundamental to our work with schools.

Tutors working with children are subject to appropriate DBS and safeguarding requirements, and our programmes are delivered alongside participating schools' safeguarding procedures.

The Rock & Pop Foundation maintains appropriate insurance arrangements and organisational procedures supporting the professional delivery of its programmes.

Supporting Professional Musicians

The Rock & Pop Foundation also provides professional musicians with opportunities to develop rewarding teaching work alongside their wider musical careers.

Our central team can support the administration surrounding their teaching, including scheduling, parent communication, payments and programme management.
